New Beginnings: Embracing Change, Creativity, and the Unknown

As I have officially closed the chapter on my time as the owner of Lush Art, I find myself reflecting on the journey that brought me here. For 11 years, Lush Art was more than just a business—it was a space where creativity blossomed and community thrived. But like all good stories, there comes a time to turn the page and embrace what’s next. For me, that "next" is Cara Heard Co., where I’m diving headfirst into art and business consulting, helping others find their creative voices and build their own ventures.
Stepping into this new chapter is both exhilarating and uncertain. I don’t know exactly what the future holds, but that’s what makes it exciting. It’s a shift that allows me to focus on my passions while also navigating the bittersweet role of being a mom to a high school senior. As my child prepares for their next stage in life, I, too, am preparing for mine.
Cara Heard Co. represents more than just a new business venture—it’s a space where I can share my years of experience, both as an artist and a small business owner, to help others find their path. Whether it’s guiding a new entrepreneur through their first startup steps or helping someone unlock their creative potential and how to connect with their audience, I’m excited about the opportunities ahead.
This transition is not without its challenges, but it’s a reminder that every ending is the beginning of something new. As I close the door on Lush Art, I open a new one filled with creative possibilities and personal growth (and without the weight of that Covid Business Debt). Here’s to the next chapter—one I’m stepping into with excitement, creativity, and an open heart.
